I don't see high tariffs as a solution to the economic mess. They didn't work for Hoover or FDR.

We need lower corporate taxes and less regulations. Instead, we are getting more.

The new food safety bill will kill small truck farmers just as the anti-lead in toys bill killed many small craftsmen. It would be nice if people could turn to "cottage" industries to help them in a bad job market but congress has been only interested in stifling small business to free their cronies in large corporations from unwanted competition.

If we tax Chinese products, we increase the price of everything we buy that is not food. I guess a silver spoon would not get this. China is chock full of foreign companies.
