Today's Quiz

106th King William's College quiz

Test your general knowledge against this year's fiendishly difficult quiz

Kings College

The answers won't be printed until sometime next year, but I'm so certain (given the snootiness that oozes forth) that my answer to question 2-4 will be rejected,  that I don't care to continue.  Too bad, because to that point I'm pretty sure I was acing it.

2. Who or what:

1 blew hot and cool?
2 was Mad Jack's spouse?
3 was the stuff that Smith was made of?

4 is an expression of surprise or indignation? (HMFS!) my answer

Sleeping Asians

Rodge, how come you never have
pictures of Asians sleeping in the liberry?

OMG! You're right.*smacks head*  Here.

Olbermann Tweets

HARK! A CRY FROM MOUNT CRAPMORE

Olbermann on Mount Crapmore

Olbermann’s remark that Fox News is “100% bullshit,” was in response to another Twitter user questioning his support of a liberal political blog, the Daily Kos. Keith Olbermann to Twitter: ‘Fox News is 100 percent bullshit’

I know, it's a lazy man who uses Keith Olbermann as a point of ridicule, but what the hell. He makes me laugh.  Let's consider him the official ensign of the Democrat Media Complex.

It wasn't funny until I changed it. Now it is.

Edited because it wasn't funny the first time
Obama IS Hitler
The reason  Obamunists hate the Nazi comparison is that there is one.

Obama is Hitler

Before 1992 the word disingenuous was never used, except possibly by William F. Buckley Jr. when discussing Gore Vidal.  Beginning with that year's presidential campaign however, disingenuous  became the wildly  popular adjective of choice with journalists (Democrat Media Complex)  uncomfortable about calling Bill Clinton a bullshit artist.   Which brings me to ...
Godwin's law.
This is the meme that rules "the first one to use Hitler in an argument loses".  Had you ever heard of Godwin's Law before Obama became president?  No, you did not.  First,  that's not what Godwin really said.  Obama scribblers introduced it Reductio ad Hitlerum, which means play the Nazi card.

The tactic is often used to derail arguments, because such comparisons tend to distract and anger.[1]

As used then, Godwin's Law ought remind us something else ..  Anyone?  Here's a hint.

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Yeppir.  Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, aka Obama's Creed.  The reason  Obamunists hate the Nazi comparison is that there is one.  To be sure, there have been other analogous models, like Communism, but are too arcane. While there are about  12 billion feet of Nazi film, and 6000 Hollywood movies about Hitler, that are circulated on10 Hitler cable channels, Stalin pops up only as Hitler's adversary (after he wasn't an adversary). It does little good then to compare Eric Holder's actions with, say, Feliks Dzerzhinsky , but  Heinrich Himmler strikes terror.   Face it, we have never had a government with parallels to totalitarian government.  On Monday I linked to 10 Most Evil Propaganda Techniques Used by the Nazis as an example.  I submit that there is no better comparison available to Barack Obama and today's Democrat Party then Adolph Hitler and the Nazis.  This is our WWII being replayed.
