Judge Napolitano's show Monday had some gummint types making the case for raising the debt ceiling (indefinitely). The very first argument for more money printing was this:

"The first thing that happens is no social security checks will be sent."

So, we see where this is going. Anyone who thinks this will get done peacefully is ... is daft still a word?

Soon the first cut will be high blood pressure pills and dialysis treatments. There will never be a constitutiency for lower spending for the rest of time.
