The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

On January 5 I talked about The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and the sequel The Girl Who Played with Fire, both of which I watched on instant NetFlix.  Last night, in a desperate attempt to get as far away as possible from the ACC toonamint, I jumped to Net Flix on ROKU. Guess what the first new movie suggestion was?  The third movie of the trilogy,  The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest.    I never came close to being a Star Wars trilogy freak, having skipped the last one, but this!  I want more .. more ..more!  Screw college basketball.

Nope - this is not a series that relies on sex .. although the violent rape of the heroine, which is not sex, is a root theme. These are action films with a brain.

I messed up and saw the "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest" first.
Now I can't make up my mind if I saw too many spoilers to enjoy the first two of the series.

Thanks Rodge - Followed your recommendation on the first two. Glad I did. I'll ROKU this one too. After two martinis shifting back and forth from the subtitles makes me a little dizzy, but it's worth it........

I watch everything with subtitles now because MA Deuce noise went and made my hearing fuzzy. I love watching foreign movies because of the subtitles. (NETFLIX does not have English subtitles). BTW, ROKU now streams selected AMAZON movies for free - if you're a Preferred Amazon member. I looked them over however, and found nothing but old stale Hollywood crap. Your taste may differ. ROKU rocks.

Rodge, my better half came home from hair dressers a couple of months ago and told me about these. We watched the first two from DVD;s and Netflix, when I checked my new Roku (after you raved about it, I hadda get one) and voila, there was number three. Unfortunately Steig Larsen died so there won't be anymore, but there is talk of them being ghost written by someone else. Liable to be weak tea, like the James Bond books after ole Ian died. Wonderful can't stop watching movies though!
