A 1962 dime is worth just north of $6 (because of silver content). Gas is under 10 cents a gallon, your money has been debased. Here's where I buy my junk silver. Pre 1963 quarters, instantly recognizable as silver without assay.

I understand that the President has a plan for $2 gasoline - sell it by the quart.

I remember the early '80s, stationed in England, the displayed gas-pump prices were about the same as in the US. Unfortunately, the price was in Pounds Sterling and per liter, I mean litre.

Opps, a 1962 dime is worth about $3.46 today, short of a gallon of gas. A George Washington Quarter is worth over $8 today .
