Asses bared for Al Gore

Creating an AGW Quotation Collection

WUWT reader Charles Harrison  uses the new submit story feature (see header menu) to ask this:

I would like to have a personal collection of AGW quotations to use in presentations, etc. Things like no more snow, the latest proposal to tattoo skeptics, the need to bring about the end of industrial civilization, etc.

Don't want to talk down to anyone, but not everyone has a PhD in molecular air carbonology, so a little explanation may help some.

"AGW" is "anthropogenic global warming;" science shorthand for "man caused global warning," or "the God complex."  If there's a go-to guy on the subject, it's Anthony Watts (Watts Up With That?)  I'm telling you this because some of the AGW quotations might be a tad obtuse, but the bottom line is this. Here are a community of people who understand this stuff, and they're all taking a dump on Al Gore's head.  A few examples.
Les Johnson says:

This laugher from David Suzuki, who apparently does not know physics or chemistry.

“It has been known since the last century that carbon-bearing compounds are transparent to sunlight but opaque to infra-red. In other words, sunlight passes through carbon-containing air whereas infra-red heat rays tend to be reflected by the carbon.

We are familiar with this effect in a car that has sat in the sun. The interior becomes hot because the carbon in the glass keeps the heat in.”

“I believe in natural gas as a clean, cheap alternative to fossil fuels. ”

“The debate is over … ”
Al Gore

Mary-Elena Carr of Columbia University’s Earth Institute said what is now an annual sea level rise of a few millimeters will increase dramatically by the year 2100.

“There’s just no escaping one meter by 2100. No escaping that. Could it be more? Absolutely. Is it likely to be 10? No,” she said.

... and this says it all -

Roger Knights says:

I’ve got 100 pages of formal quotes & cites from warmists (not just online commenters) that I’d like to submit to moderators / curators of an edited thread. I don’t want to clog this thread with it. Is there some moderator I can e-mail it to?

For those of you that aren't familiar with him, David Suzuki (aka "the wild Suzukious") has a Ph.D. in Zoology but has somehow become a self taught expert in everything relating the environment.

Then there was Algore's foray into medical science: "[W]e now know that the number of people who will die of AIDS in the first decade of the twenty-first century will rival the number that died in all the wars in all the decades of the twentieth century." Wow! That's gonna be real bad... Oh wait!
