This is a Weight Watchers dream tool. It should be brought to WW's attention for funding. I have a feeling WW would jump at a joint venture.

Not only that, cooking snobs like Alton Brown (Good Eats) are increasingly using weight measures in recipes in lieu of cups and spoons like God wants.

A pinch of this and a dash of that. Salt and pepper to taste. Goodness, dont we have enough regimentation in our lives or do we really need that level of precision when we cook?

And if this thing gets off the ground and into the high-end kitchen ware stores, you can bet yur last dollar that Michelle Obama, aka The Komrade Doofusette, will either like it and decree that one be put into every fast food outlet around the country, or will most likely denounce it as being too trendy for the commoner folk of this country and declare it off limits for everyone but her own circle of elitists.

But now that I think about it, she and The Komrade Doofus won't be in the White House in five more years, any way. Not if there truly is a God that smiles down on the United States every now and then. He damn sure didn't 2-1/2 years ago.

Well I'm trying to do the weigh your food thing. No more than 8 oz per meal and space the meals about 3 hours apart through out the waking day. The theory is your stomach shrinks and it takes less food to satisfy you. I lost a little weight but I'm kind of stuck now. I think it might have something to do with that deep fried fat that I consume?
That and the fried bacon wrapped bone out pork chop.

If you're going to put a scale in, why not also add ruler marks along the edges so that you can chop all your veggies to the same length?

Roger, your last sentence was just a little ambiguous. Does God want weight measures or volume measures? I'm not trying to be a wise guy, I just want to be sure.
