The Quotable Rogue:

10 questions with ‘The Quotable Rogue’ editor Matt Lewis
TheDC's Matt Lewis is the editor of the new book, The Quotable Rogue: The Ideals of Sarah Palin in Her Own Words, and our own Jamie Weinstein interviewed him about it. Here's Lewis on his reasons for publishing the book:

"I was attracted to this project for two reasons: 1) Sarah Palin is arguably the most significant woman of the first decade of the 21st century, and 2) As some of her supporters have pointed out to me, she is the most 'known, unknown' figure in American politics. A lot of people, for example, still believe that she said, 'I can see Russia from my house.' She never said that. That was actually comedian Tina Fey. But people still think Palin said that. When you actually read Palin's real quotes in context, they are quite compelling."

Maybe WaPo and the NYT can crowdsource her quotes for any evidence of scandal. That trick always works.  [Full interview]

Lately I really wondering about all the buzz that "serious" candidates have to participate in the Iowa caucuses. The Caucus system is even more easily gamed than "open" primaries. An I also suspect the the RINO's and their buddies in the MSM want the serious candidates to stick their heads up as soon as possible so they can slime them with the "swing" voters. Ann Coulter was saying the other day that the "serious" candidate who are governors need to keep their heads down untill the last possible minute. Considering how new media savvy Palin and Perry are,we may all be in for a surprise.

(looking at the visible chapter) I'm sorry but the people that get choked up singing the national anthem, the vietnam vets, (all vets really) the people in small towns that work their asses off every day, that love america and KNOW it. Everyone in "fly over country"

Yes, they are 'more american' than some of the liberal POS that hate this country.

She has said nothing there that she needs to be sorry about..

Pick one: Chris Mathews and 49 of them sumbitches he calls friends, or 50 names picked at random from the phone book of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Hamburg, Iowa or, say, Decatur, Alabama.

I rest Sarah's case.
