NASA's Magic Carpet

QOTD
Now that our future is behind us and America is through with all that outer space stuff, NASA can zero in on what director Charles Bolden calls its primary mission, helping Muslims feel good about their alleged scientific accomplishments. Maybe this will allow us back into space after all: - [Moonbattery]

Funny how most the the "Arab Discoveries" in science and math took place after they had looted the Library at Alexandria.

Pardon me for commenting way off topic, unless this counts as throwing rocks from the moon, heh.
But I just read that poor old Boneher has just found out he doesn't have enough Republican votes to pass his plan and it looks like their aren't enough Dimocrats that will vote for it either. There is a motion for a bill to prioritize the revenue payments for interests and such from the available revenues for August but that's it. One rebel Republican is quoted as near as I can recall,"We (The House) already voted and passed a bill that we liked. The Senate turned it down. The Speaker's bill is nothing like it and isn't even close to what we would consider a compromise. It looks like all those phone calls and internal polling have stiffened up some spines. "Garcon! More Popcorn and another bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper!"

RAK: the stuff the Arabs got was a collection of late greek and roman works.

All of the original material was destroyed by Julius Caesar and later by two Christian zealots ruling in Constantinople. Look up the murder of Hypatia.
