In an age where every level of government have assumed the right to monitor every movement of the citizenry, this is scary. I found particularly creepy the Face Book challenge of identifying everyone in the picture.  And yes, I have grown to view all new technology in context of its usefulness to a police state.  But, that's just me.

Using off-the-shelf facial recognition software and simple Internet data mining techniques...most people can now be identified simply through a photograph of their face — and anyone can do the sleuthing. In other words, our faces have become our identities, and there little hope of remaining anonymous in a world where billions of photographs are taken and posted online every month.
