Sellin Mitt

SELLING MITT LEGERDEMAIN

-

I just stumbled across this  August 2nd  blab form THE  HILL.  The left leaning voice of establishment politics has today's spotight in the "Shove  Mitt McCain down their bloody throats"  postulation.
Romney rejection of debt deal stands out in Republican presidential field

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) opposes the debt deal struck by President Obama and congressional leaders over the weekend — a stance that stands out from most of the GOP presidential field.

Romney emerged after weeks of silence to oppose the compromise measure that would authorize a two-tranche increase in the nation’s borrowing authority in exchange for up to $2.4 trillion in deficit reduction.

FLASH FORWARD   to August 4th  -- HUH?

Sarah Palin knocked presidential candidate Mitt Romney for waiting until the debt-ceiling compromise was a “done deal” before speaking out against it.

“Bless his heart, I have respect for Mitt Romney, but I do not have respect for what he has done through this debt increase debate,” she said Tuesday night in a Fox News interview.

THE  HIL's patrons —   who read past the lede — soon discover the facts hardly live up to the title's premis.

But with the exception of Reps. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) and Ron Paul (R-Texas), who oppose raising the debt limit under any circumstances ... .,

Until Sarah Palin, and possibly Rick Perry get into the race, Michelle Bachman is the only legitimate choice we have right now.  Legitimate to those of us who demand positive and REAL change in government, anyway.   (Sadly, even Herman Cain  appeared to flip-flop mid-stream on this issue)

Just remember - if "Manson Lamps" Bachmann is the nominee it will be a 57 state sweep for President Barry and his posse.

But we can wallow tall in our self pity that we had a "pure" candidate.

Bachman will not be the nominee; right now she serves as a place holder. And BTW, I agreed with your position that any Republican was better than any Democrat. No longer do. Purity (a.k.a. holding firm to conservative values) is all I vote for anymore.

The Femocrats run the most radically left candidate the country's ever seen, and the Republicans counter with the party's biggest RINO. We really showed them, didn't we?

Every time Republicans threaten to run a true conservative, the left, led by the TP-media, throws a tantrum. And the RNC folds like the proverbial cheap suit.

I guess it comes down to this: would you rather stand on principle and run a true conservative, or would you rather give in to the leftists and RINO's bluff? Would you rather be pissed off by Stimulus bills and 0bamacare, or by "read my lips" and prescription drug benefits?

We tried it once--'80-'88--and it worked quite well. Why are we so afraid to try it again? I think I just answered my own question.
