Crap like this really chaps my ass. I enjoyed the tv show 'life on Mars' right up until the last episode when they tied the whole thing together in a way that made Dallas' "I dreamed the whole season" episode plausible... But just to make it worse they had to throw in the line "President Obama had to go back to Chicago, her father wasn't feeling well."
Why? It was completely gratuitous.
