Actually, the history of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans is very easy to teach.
The ones that came out of the closet left the country, or ended up in a jail or a mental institution, until after the 1960s.
Not advocating such ... just reporting the facts. And such that had any effect on US history did so while thoroughly in the closet, like J. Edgar Hoover, the transvestite pedophile. -

They could set up hypothetical situation for the Founding Fathers. For example, they could say that instead of creating a new country, Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Madison, etc. like to suck each other's dicks. Isn't that what they would do if they were gay instead of straight?

based entirely on the "recollections" of an 80 year-old ex-mob whore for a Frontline attack piece. There is nothing besude innuenedo to prove that Hoover (or Clyde Tolson) were gay. Not that there would be anything wrong with that. I've never head him charged with being a pedophile, but that doesn't mean the left didn't throw that out there too.
The Left despised Hoover because he spent major resources rooting out Communists. Which is why they love Eric Holder.
By the way, I was privy once to see the (ca 1966) FBI files on the Supremes (interviews claiming they had been Detroit prostitutes) and actor + Lynda Bird Johnson's boyfriend George Hamilton, (interviews claiming he was was gay). Lyndon Johnson loved reading his "gossip." -

I see the teaching as straight forward too. There are people like your mommy and daddy, and then there are perverts. Never get in a car with someone who isn't your mommy or daddy. They're probably perverts. At least that is what I was taught, by a policeman too.

Two guys living together for years: many point and say "Look at those two! Must be fags!" But if it is a revered government official and his room-mate, we all have to dis-believe the rumors. They can't POSSIBLY be fags; that's J. EDGAR HOOVER by crackie! Why?
As for what California is doing: I am homosexual myself, but see absolutely NO reason for this sort of instruction. Why not just take the person's accomplishments at face value? Neither I, nor the children, need details about the private lives of this or that inventor, politician, or what-have-you.
