Some people actually believe government can create jobs by taxing and borrowing from people with jobs and then giving that money to people without jobs. They call this demand stimulus. To make matters worse, other people think these demand-stimulus ideas warrant a serious response.

Government taxes cigarettes to stop people from smoking, not to get them to smoke. Government fines speeders so they won't speed, not to encourage them to drive faster. And yet contrary to common sense, it seems perfectly natural to some people that government would tax people who work or companies that are successful only to give that money to people who don't work and to bail out losing companies. The thought never crosses their minds that these policies are the very reason why our economy is in such bad shape.

I'm beginning to think that Irving Kristol was correct when he wrote,
"It takes a Ph.D. in economics not to be able to understand the obvious."

Art Laffer is the undefeated champion of economic policy (supply side) that works, which is why he's wasting his time  trying to reason with Obamunists. How's that for cynical?

The Path to 9/11

There's History, and Their History
I'm being asked this on the FOX network. ABC just had a right- wing conservative run in their little "Pathway to 9/11," falsely claiming it was based on the 9/11 Commission report, with three things asserted against me directly contradicted by the 9/11 Commission report. [Bill Clinton on Fox News Sunday, September 26, 2006]

Key Scene Deletion
Clintons were able to force ABC to Delete THIS Scene from 'The Path to 9/11,'

TheDC's Matthew Boyle reports: "Activists tell The Daily Caller that The Walt Disney Company is refusing to re-air a 9/11-related docudrama, effectively burying politically inconvenient facts about the events which led to the 9/11 terror attacks, in order to protect the political future of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

'The Path to 9/11,' first aired on ABC in 2006, portrayed President Bill Clinton's administration as ignoring warnings and signs that Osama bin Laden and al Qaida were planning a major attack on the United States — a finding supported by The 9/11 Commission Report. But since 2006 Disney CEO Bob Iger has repeatedly refused to rebroadcast it, or to sell the rights to other broadcasters...

'The Path to 9/11' was nominated for seven Emmy awards, and won one. It also received an American Cinema Editors 'Eddie' award. But the film, which cost $40 million to make, has not aired in the U.S. since, nor has it been released on DVD...

Of course it was spot-on accurate which is why Sen. Hillary put Jamie Gorelick on the 9-11 Commission (to sidetrack the investigation) and why Sandy Berger stole files that incriminated them.  And why Bill Clinton went nuts trying to stop the airing of 'The Path to 9/11'
Below are two clips from the film "Blocking the Path to 9/11" which can be rented at NetFlix.

The second clip supposes that the left finally got disgusted with the Clintons over this,  and turned to Obama.  Now that Barry  hasn't quite worked out for them, the screeching sound you hear is the left throwing themselves into reverse.  It will be fun to resurrect all the quotes from 2008 when the left media  slammed Hillary as a dishonest liar.  Start looking for them now before they're all flushed.

Hot Beef Injections

Woman Dies After Hot Beef Injection in the Face
From the September 09, 2011 12:29:33 GMT edition of the Drudge Report.

Hot Beef Injection

That DRUDGE headline caused this thought bubble:

Oh Sheesh, Drudge is promoting the further coarsening of the culture by highlighting crude and seamy sex practices.

Still, I had look.
What a tease.
First, the victim Janet Hardt was 63, and that's way too old to be entertaining groups of Japanese businessmen. Second;  it turns out that she had actually injected hot beef fat into her face, wtf?  And Third; it's not even what killed her.  It is an effective way to market a story however. As you are now aware.
