Alex Len Dunk

Bless us Lord for this thy 7'1" gift ...

Forgive my exuberance over something nobody out there cares about— but wow.  Maryland had never had a 7' player before who could do anything on the court but look silly, so Alex Len is major.  Bear in mind, this is only his second college game ever. (His FG % is 80)

Let's see now. When Doubleday "invented" basketball players were typically shorter then 5'10". So he set the basket at ten feet.
Sooo hows 'bout raising it to say 12' and see where the scores go? Heh, heh, heh.

I got a better idea, how about making the classroom scores count more than the points on the board? Problem solved.

Rodge ... I have to agree with I-RIGHT-I.

Allowing colleges to be farm teams for professional b-ball and football teams was a big effing mistake.

Universities are supposed to be about teaching, not sports ego-gratification for alumni.

If professional sports wanted to really help education, they would set up AAA leagues, and refuse to hire anyone who even touched a ball in college without playing a couple of years in AAA first.
