What is really scary here is that the current field is making me consider the Opus Dei candidate, Santorum.

By coincidence I happen to have a German belt buckle brought home from WWI by an ancestor. The motto enscribed upon it is, of course, "GOTT MIT UNS". I am reliably informed that the British Tommys would carve "we've got mittens too" on the walls of their trenches.
