I grew up in a 90% black inner-city school system and had a couple of teacher try to slam white guilt on me. Until I calmly explained to them that my Irish ancestors were commonly pressed into indentured servitude and my family hadn't emigrated to the US until 50 years after slavery was abolished here anyway. And then they moved on....

I would like to see a kid with a black eye and bloody nose, or better yet attackers with similar wounds, because he wouldn't submit to supposed oppressors without a fight. -

When I was in Junior High, a "Guest Speaker" tried to do one of those Harvard Psych experiments on our class. We were divided up into blue eyed kids, and all others. The "Blues" were to tell everyone else what to do, and the others were told to obey, "or else." I'm proud to say that in our little town, the experiment was a complete failure, and in the end nearly the entire class refused to follow the template. The few that tried to impose their will on the rest were praised by the "educator," but were shunned by the rest.
Of course this is almost thirty years ago now. I've little hope for the same spirit in the beaten down kids in Public Schools today. -
