Obama Bitch Slaps Crazy Conservatives

High gas prices and the wisdom of drilling for oil
The writer says soaring gasoline prices are the direct result of failed federal energy policies of U.S. President Barack Obama.

.Gasoline prices are zooming past $4 a gallon and the United States is hardly freer from the grip of imported oil or closer to robust economic recovery. With his approval ratings dropping precipitously, U.S. President Barack Obama is blaming speculators and investigating fraud and at the pump when this mess is the direct result of failed federal energy policies.

By word and deed, the Obama administration has sought to limit off-shore oil exploration and development and hasten the commercial viability of solar, wind and alternative vehicle technologies.

All this is based on two erroneous but strongly held beliefs among liberal policymakers, academics and pundits -- increasing oil U.S. production would do little to lower U.S. gas prices and but for the vested interests of multinational oil companies, mankind would have long ago harnessed renewable energy sources and freed itself freed itself from the sin of burning hydrocarbons. [Full indictment]

I know what you're saying.  "Rodge, why the hell are you posting that here?  There is not a jot of new information contained therein!"

It's a trick.  I'm titling this "Obama Bitch Slaps Crazy Conservatives."  The idiot blogs will blindly post it.  Mountains will move.

A few things:

The new oil coming out of SD isn't being moved efficiently to market. There isn't enough pipeline capacity. The oil is ending up in storage or has to be moved less efficiently by rail. Guess which big Obama supporter has a lot of money invested in Western railroads?

Gas to liquids is now a reality. Sasol is building a GTL plant in Louisiana to make light oil (i.e. diesel). Exxon partnered with a company called Gigamethanol to develop a nat. gas to methanol to gasoline process that will utilize existing oil pipelines. Gasoline produced will cost under $2.85 a gallon which includes a $1.45 margin (this was before natural gas prices got really cheap).

However, GTL will continue to move at a snail's pace given the 'uncertain' regulatory environment of the current regime.

High gas prices are being caused by valueless dollars.

The price of a barrel of oil in Yen or Euros hasn't changed very much.

Anything Obama does to "fix" this can only be temporary.

The only permanent fix for this check kiting is to buy up the checks, and burn them ... and you will never, in a million years, see Congress or the Pres collect revenue in order to de-monitize it.

We are stuck with these Zimbabwe dollars.

Was copying the 'safe'version to friends with the title "Greetings, you've got gas.. Oh, wait, you don't" and the text:
"Greetings from the DOE, EPA, DOI and the Obama Administration"

Looking for Cabinet members I had forgotten to mention, went to:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/cabinet

Where if you look at the order of succession, as presented on an official government site, the 3rd in line, Speaker of the House, is not even mentioned.
Geez, whatta team we've got there in DC, eh?
Frack.
