Towards an Open Convention

Against All Odds

Mitt Romney extended his lead in delegates in the Republican presidential nomination fight this week, but his hopes of avoiding a contested convention dimmed slightly after third-place finishes in Tuesday night’s two biggest contests.

While the former Massachusetts governor won the most delegates overall in Alabama, Mississippi, Hawaii and American Samoa, his three opponents — Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Rep. Ron Paul — combined to win nearly 60 percent of the delegates awarded on Tuesday. Every night that Mr. Romney wins less than an outright majority makes it tougher for him to capture the magic number of delegates needed to clinch the nomination before the August convention in Tampa. AS was pointed out a while back, Oromney never seems to win more then 25-30% of the vote unless his only opponent is Ron Paul. That'll make for a biiiiig win against obumble in November.

Well a quick glance saw that Nevada, Mass, and Idaho all had above 50% votes cast for Romney. So you, and whoever pointed it out "a while back" was wrong.

Not to mention...

Four candidates.
100/4 = 25%
Romneys average vote share = 39%

By the way, do we want retards who can't even get on the ballot to go again Obama's PACs and his political machine?

You want Santorum who takes the lefty medias bait chasing one stupid thing after another, facing Obama in a rigged debate?

The GOP selection sucks, but Newt and Rick would get beat by 6% by the time they were doing committing gaffes.

3 different friends who went to the Repub caucus in Boise all mentioned the thing that stood out to them was watching the "Mormon Machine" in action voting for ORomney... I expect similar happened in NV. And MA? Come on, you're calling that significant?

No 2 ways about it, we're screwed. Voting isn't going to fix this. The Progs spent the past 50 years rotting the culture and the country from the inside... not even ORomney and an army of latterday saints is going to fix that.

Anonymous: Santorum and Gingrich got shut out of ballot status in aq couple states because they expected people running state parties to follow their own rules.

The Paulistas stayed on the ballots there because they are all hardcore Libertarians, and are used to having local officials play bullshit games to try to force them off ballots.

Headline: Santorum pledges to 'vigorously' crack down on Internet porn...

Yeah, Romney is the bad one. What an idiot Santorum is. He needs to shut his damn mouth about these stupid topics. Get off it.

Santorum is utterly useless, IMO. except he's making nice cannon fodder.

Beat me to it Rodger. We have muslims wanting to cut the heads off our kids and use the skulls to play soccer. We have 16t in debt and it's growing. We have Iran trying to get nukes. We have an administration who flaunts the law every day in some new way. But no, rather than focus on that, Sanitarium is focused on internet porn and contraception and other shit. And the worst part, the evangelics vote for him because of it showing that the republicans have a wing in their party that is as stupid as any wing of democrats party...

The democrats deliberately dug this tiger trap earlier this month when Obama ordered Holder to persecute Catholic organizations for not paying for employee birth control or abortions.

Santorum leaped boldly upon the spikes like an idiot. This may cost him at convention.

When the Dems and the press mention anything other than the economy, the proper response is:

"That is not really important.

$5.00 per gallon gas and 50% inflation since 2008 is important. What is Obama's malfunction here? Why are we not impeaching this retard?"
