Freschetta Pizza - Best Ever

                                                                              FOOD

Best EverFrozen Pizza
Freschetta Brick Oven
When MoSup is away, as she is now, I live on frozen pizza, hot dogs, salad, and black beans out of the can.  Last night I had this Freshetta pizza, and IMO it was the best frozen pizza I ever had, and maybe the best pizza period! — except for Ledo Pizza made the right way (Columbia, MD only) .The perfect accompaniment, of course, are anchovies.  Hucker gets them for me by the 28 oz. can, and they are delish.

You're welcome

Where does one find the Freschetta product? I love the anchovies too, but they're not advised for gout sufferers. I still eat them once in a while.

Schwan foods also owns Red Baron and Tony's pizza. I lost some of my appetite when then closed down the Red Baron Stearman squadron about 5 years ago.

They're in all the local grocery stores hereabouts. Schwann Foods has a home delivery service for all their products.

I still like that Chef Boi'ardi or whatever it's called. Pizza dough, cheese and sauce in the box you add the rest. Not as easy as frozen pizza but still worth the effort.

Now I'm lazy and buy them fresh and uncooked from the HEB grocery here in town. Not bad at all once you add some extra goodies.

I've lost 20 lbs in the past 3 months on my pizza, beer and chocolate chip cookie diet. Damn, I'm hungry now.

Having learnt real good to harken unto the wisdom of Dear Leader Rog, at least when it comes to food, I'm willing to give 'em a go. But, after Papa Murphy's come to town, I haven't had a delivery pizza that even came close to Pappa's. Heck of a lot cheaper, too.

I'm going up to the store to buy some now, and a case of CCC's. No beer, I'll drink wine.

I enjoy the Freschetta for sure, cooked on a Presto pizza oven. California Kitchen 4-cheese is tasty too. I can also recommend the Crown Prince anchovies, similar to Roland's. I like the onions thin sliced off a mandolin.

If you're near D.C., try DUCCINI'S on U St. near 18th St. NW.
