The lamps are melting the lamps are melting

GREEN CRAP

Being an AGWer means life is one continuous back-track
How hot is it Senator Inhofe?  Even your street lights are melting

Res Ipsa Loquitor
Even as residents swelter in the relentless heat, Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe continued his tirade about man-made global warming during a Senate hearing yesterday, saying the science had “collapsed.”

“Hey Senator @InhofePress, even your streetlights are saying #ImTooHot http://ow.ly/cHbX4,” the Climate Reality Project tweeted later, linking to the ThinkProgress claim.

Later:  Think Progress AGW religious cultists are informed that the lights were melting due to extreme heat from the nearby fire.  To compound their idiocy, these climate scientists were seemingly unaware that glass only begins to melt at at around   842 °F.

Those are plastic with a much lower melting point. Over 100 at least.

Glass is only very hot at 842-at about 1300 you can get glasses to stick to each other-at about 1550 glass will start to flow and at 2150, where I cast it into sheets, it's quite malleable.

Of course I'm speaking of soda/lime glass-with the addition of more boron into the batch you can get glass "splashy" at 1600-1700 but you'll degrade your crucible much faster.

Just a thought.

Looks to me like there was some kind of fire off to the right. Which wold explain why the back globes are not melted.

Googled it, as dumpster fire. Some poor liberals home went up in smoke, at least the contents.

Is that Homer Simpson's face embedded on the lamp?

Yeah, its dry here, but our spring was one of the wettest in record. VERY different from the previous years. Our lakes started the year full, unlike previous years. Boomer Sooner.
