WOW singer

If you have "it," they will find you

Someone get this girl a record contract stat.

A random girl stopped by a karaoke machine while in a mall in the Philippines, and belted out the best rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” since this Taiwanese boy on the talent search show Super Star Avenue.

Most people don't realize it, but this song was composed and first performed by Dolly Parton.

Tom, I did know that and frankly I think Dolly did it much better.

and she'll love you long time... sorry couldn't help it...

I-RIGHT-I said...

She wrote it after she divorced What's His Name. I would bet the sentiment was heartfelt but at the same time it was a great way to CYA because I recall that What's His Name was a real power in Nashville at the time.

I'll go with Dolly's recording of the song too but the dead lady did do herself proud with it and made Dolly a ton of cash.

What I saw - a passer-by kid who ad hoc belted out something beautiful. I loved it. I love what "simple" people are capable of. Anything.

It's not a warble, it's a yodel. I don't know about banning it. I just wish it would go out of style.

Dolly sings her version in the movie Best Little Whorehouse in Texas...

I always tell the young athletes I coach - no matter what you do - do it with your whole heart. I think I'll show them this video as an example...

As for the warble, or yodel, or madly looking for a note to hit, whatever you want to call it - yeah, it can go out of style anytime now...

I have also described it as the noise they make standing on top of a flagpole, flailing their arms around while trying to keep their balance.
