SMITE THEN UNs

Res Ipsa Loquitor

The group hosting international election observers said Thursday that state officials in Iowa and Texas are needlessly blocking access to the decades-old process the United States already has agreed to, an official said Thursday.

Thomas Rymer, a spokesman for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, said the group will abide by election laws after officials in those states warned about possible criminal prosecution if the observers came within hundreds of feet of polling places.

With the exception of small patches of cancerous cells, Texas refusal to relinquish her sovereignty is really no surprise.  Iowa's is.  HurraH!

Given the UN's dismal track record in all things, the surprise is 48 states are willingly relinquishing their sovereignty. 2:48 is a bad split.

I was kinda hoping one of the observers would give me a reason to start some crap when I voted.

Oh well. I guess if we're paying our Texas law enforcement officers to enforce our laws, we might as well let them do their job.

Maybe we should let Texas run the United Nations? In one week, we'd have them eating chili, drafting constitutions for every country, and we'd have the building empty by this time next year.(Best new use is bars on the windows and loading it up with some Senators and such that need new homes.)

Of course, a few dictators might find the nearest tree is their final location on this planet, but that's just how it goes in a free society.

From what I understand, this isn't part of the U.N. though it still doesn't make them worth a damn. The federal government doesn't have the right to tell anyone what they can do at state elections since the Constitution only sets the date of election. A state could do away with everything except paper ballots on election day and could (legally) require identification. They could also use the purple thumb to show you voted.
As a matter of fact, these idiots don't even have diplomatic immunity.

I would also add that U.S. Federal Gov't employees are likewise transgressors and should be jailed for interfering with the States' electoral processes. -- Skyhawker, Doug

Anonymous: Obama gave them diplomatic immunity, sorry.

In fact, UN abuse of DI is a big issue in NYC.

Mind you, diplomatic immunity won't prevent a hickory shampoo by an irate cop.

I am "borrowing" this image and expanding it for the range. Thanks TRKOF!

Kristopher, Obama and the federal government CAN'T give diplomatic immunity to just anyone. The person has to be an official representative of a government or governmental organization. If this group isn't a rep of a government, they can't get DI. As a matter of fact, Congress never, to my knowledge, signed off on the U.S. joining this group. Which means they're not an official group under the Constitution and federal law.

The UN needs to do just one thing ONLY. And that is to get the fuck out of the United States and go where, they might be wanted. Maybe that could be Sudan or Mali. After all, those two countries are already screwed up, so the UN could not do too much more damage there. Or better yet, somewhere in the vicinity of the South Pole.

The only benefit I see from having the Blue Helmets over here is the number of Third World Children who would be temporarily safe from being molested by them.

Anonymous: All of the upper UN staff are credentialed diplomats.

Anyone in the lower staff with pull are credentialed diplomats.

All of their relatives in NYC are also credentialed.

Don't argue with me. Look it up.

UN diplomat abuse of DI is a very hot topic in NYC.

Kristophr said...

As for your legal assertions ... anyone can be considered a diplomat by a country, and said country can request credentials. Anyone.

Businessmen buying credentials from 3rd world countries to avoid problems is another abuse.

The State Department of the US will give anyone that isn't a known criminal or terrorist credentials if their home country asks for them, and that country is not on one of the bad nation lists the State Dept. maintains.

I don't know what Constitutionalist's group you are getting your info from, but It's not correct.

You may be able to create some legal argument that this should not be the case ... but it is, whether you like it or not.

The UN observers stepped on their collectivist schwanzes.
They made an agreement with the wrong people.
The State Department doesn't make or enforce election laws.
Hillary needs some serious woodshed time.
