Beatle Stories

   At The Cinema

This documentary film is surprisingly entertaining, and well done.  The most surprising?   A revelation told  by Frederic Seaman, John Lennon's assistant the last year of his life. During a political discussion Lennon opined that Jimmy Carter was a phony, and expressed enthusiasm for Ronald Reagan, whom he had met in California.  Seaman, a hard core lib activist was shocked.  Furthermore, it seems that Lennon would send Fred's father, a lifelong Communist (Fred's words), into apoplectic fits by dissing his Lib prattle. And he looked at his earlier "Imagine" days with embarrassment over his naivety.  Damn.

So there's a slim possibility that he's not burning next to vlad lennon, I mean lenin.

I Still turn the radio off every time one of his pieces is played. Cheaper than throwing a brick at another radio.
