What’s So Bad About a Boy Who Wants to Wear a Dress?

The night before Susan and Rob allowed their son to go to preschool in a dress, they sent an e-mail to parents of his classmates. Alex, they wrote, “has been gender-fluid for as long as we can remember, and at the moment he is equally passionate about and identified with soccer players and princesses, superheroes and ballerinas (not to mention lava and unicorns, dinosaurs and glitter rainbows).” They explained that Alex had recently become inconsolable about his parents’ ban on wearing dresses beyond dress-up time. After consulting their pediatrician, a psychologist and parents of other gender- [blah blah fkng-blah]

  • What's so bad about wanting to fondle the breasts of the girl who sits next to you in Math?
  • What's so wrong about wanting to smear feces on your head to attract green flies, which shimmering  iridescence please you?
  • What's so bad about wanting to put dog turds on your peanut butter sandwich?
  • What's so bad about not wanting to say the Pledge of Allegiance?
Nothing.  Unless you talk about those desires, or act on them, and are willing to accept the ridicule.   Because, laws aside,  it's abnormal  behavior;  unacceptable by social norms. Social norms are  necessary in any society; guidelines and silent agreements which allow lots of people to live together in some  harmony.

Accommodating people like Alex, and certainly Alex's parent, means imposing on everyone a requirement to accept their behavior as being perfectly normal, or face a political punishment.  We call this political correctness, and it's a cancer.   PC makes people want to throw other people who work for the New York Times down a volcano.  Someday, given the opportunity, they probably will.

How Bad Are They Mr. Maher?

As much as I’m very fond of all of the people at MSNBC, Chris Matthews and Rachel (Maddow) and Lawrence O’Donnell, they’re all good people. But if I watch it, like, for a whole day, I want to marry Ann Coulter and join the tea party.’" -Leftwing TV host Bill Maher

New liberal spin: Obama's a conservative

Academics and liberal pundits have started talking about Obama as right-of-center politically just as he has begun to reach out to independents and moderates in his reelection campaign.

Some are true critics who wish he would do more for labor and welfare recipients and implement tougher carbon limits on coal plants. Others are trying to portray Obama as a middle-of-of-the-roader attractive to moderate voters, not the liberal Mitt Romney attacks daily.

The latest claim that Obama's a conservative is being made by pundit Paul Street and University of Illinois political professor Anthony DiMaggio in a long review of the Tea Party in the influential journal Critical Sociology. In it they call Obama "deeply conservative" and eager enough for victories that he "caves in" to the GOP.

Res Ipsa Loquitor God help us. There is no such thing as a political  "moderate."  There are however the simple minded, witless, disengaged and ignorant. And what are  "independents"  independent of, or from?  The nose on their faces?

PUEBLO, Colo. – President Obama, while villifying Mitt Romney for opposing the auto industry bailout, bragged about the success of his decision to provide government assistance and said he now wants to see every manufacturing industry come roaring back.

“I said, I believe in American workers, I believe in this American industry, and now the American auto industry has come roaring back,” he said. “Now I want to do the same thing with manufacturing jobs, not just in the auto industry, but in every industry. [Obama: Let's repeat auto industry success]

The man has no grip on reality.  The man is quite insane. The man is very dangerous.

Saartje Baartman, the so-called “Hottentot Venus” of South Africa, was exhibited to a paying public eager to get a look at her exaggerated buttocks. She was too modest to display her equally-legendary elongated labia, but was at the mercy of medical men who arranged for custody of her corpse within twenty-four hours of her death in 1815. Baartman was anatomized and plaster cast. French naturalist Georges Cuvier preserved her brain and external genitals in fluid, and boiled her bones to assemble her skeleton.  English anatomist William Harvey, best known for discovering the circulation of the blood, dissected the bodies of his father, his sister, and his cousin’s husband. Although these anatomical dissections were conducted privately, Harvey mentioned them in his lectures to students, noting the huge size of the colon he removed from his father’s abdomen and the heavy weight of his sister’s spleen. The activities of Harvey and his peers did not escape the notice of the public, and led to the persistent stereotype that anatomists are troubled, emotionless ghouls.
No. I didn't know, and didn't care that I didn't know, but was intrigued by Saartje Baartman  She looks like Michelle. .Here's the rest
