Are the Democrats Trying to Steal Pennsylvania?

Res Ipsa Loquitor

Are the Democrats Trying to Steal Pennsylvania?

The moral is that Republicans don’t just have to win elections, they have to win by an amount that exceeds the margin of fraud.

It is being reported that Democratic Party operatives are evicting court-appointed Republican poll watchers from polling places in Philadelphia. Specifically, this reportedly has happened in Ward 32, Div 13; Ward 43, Div 14; Ward 56, Div 1; Ward 56, Div 22; Ward 32, Div 28; Ward 32, Div 28; Ward 12, Div 17; Ward 39, Div 1; Ward 24, Div 9; Ward 18, Div 25; Ward 43, Div 14; Ward 29, Div 18; Ward 65, Div 19; Ward 20, Div 1; and Ward 6, Div 11. The idea is to kick out the Republicans, then stuff the box with ballots marked for Obama. This is how some of these precincts have achieved 99 to 100% turnout in past elections.

The story is, as they say, developing…[at Powerline]

UPDATE: The New Black Panthers are out, too, “guarding” the same voting location where they were criminally prosecuted for voter intimidation in 2008.

Fact Check: Obama Challenges Us to Look Up Romney’s Op-Ed, So I Do
Guess who was telling the truth?

Res Ipsa Loquitor

Here’s the transcript:

ROMNEY: I just want to take one of those points, again, attacking me as not talking about an agenda for — for getting more trade and opening up more jobs in this country. But the president mentioned the auto industry and that somehow I would be in favor of jobs being elsewhere. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I’m a son of Detroit. I was born in Detroit. My dad was head of a car company. I like American cars. And I would do nothing to hurt the U.S. auto industry. My plan to get the industry on its feet when it was in real trouble was not to start writing checks. It was President Bush that wrote the first checks. I disagree with that. I said they need — these companies need to go through a managed bankruptcy. And in that process, they can get government help and government guarantees, but they need to go through bankruptcy to get rid of excess cost and the debt burden that they’d — they’d built up. Was the attack on Benghazi an "October Surprise" gone bad?

JEFFHEAD.COM ^ | 19 October 2012 | Jeff Head

This Free Republic post intrigued me.  What "October surprise" would have come with success?   Mr. JeffHead's article doesn't answer the question, nor seem even to attempt to.  Still, this observation seems to me quite valid.

Could it be, that President Obama's slight and slap in the face Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu helped embolden these enemies? When the President of the United States indicates he does not have time for the Israeli Prime Minister who is facing an Iranian enemy who has promised to destroy Israel and is rapidly advancing in their aims to get nuclear weapons...when that allied prime Minister requests an audience with the president of the United States over these weighty matters Netanyahu is told that Obama does not have time for him?

I'd say it's a near certainty.  What U.S. Presidents say, matter.  Or used to, anyway.  Remember how Saddam tried to feel out the Bush administration's stance on his conflict with Kuwait?  And US Ambassador April Glaspie conveyed the message to Saddam that the US 'had no opinion' on Iraq's future intentions with regard to Kuwait?  Saddam took that to mean he could invade Kuwait, willy-nilly.  You know the rest of that story.

The only other "surprise" outcome I can think of requires the belief that Obama is the anti-Christ and was trying to trigger WWII by serving up Israel to Islamos. Ahem.

Cue Obama

Tonight: Obama to Play Hero, Take 'Full Responsibility' for Libya

Think about it: If Obama were to stand up before the American people tonight and thank Hillary for being The Greatest Secretary Of State In The History Of The Americas and then pull her out from under the bus and accept 100% of the responsibility himself, he'd look like some kind of hero.

A moment like this would be dramatic, make the president look good, and likely command a lot of the attention in post-debate coverage. Pulling a manufactured stunt like this also presents almost no downside (everyone blames Obama anyway) and almost 100% upside. - [Full]

This is all the media need to proclaim him the winner. Mitt's response ought be, then why did you lie about it? Your obvious incompetency?

Ryan-Biden Debate Wordle

VP Debate Text Cloud

Biden's White Lying Teeth

              2012

This one was hard to watch, and I suspect many fewer people did watch it than watched the first presidential debate. The vice-presidential debate resembled one of those cacophonous political talk shows that call it dialogue when they encourage guests to talk over each other. Biden was the chief, almost the only, offender, but if you had listened over the radio you might have thought he won anyway, so oleaginous and unashamed was he. This was demagogy old-school style, without a trace of irony, betrayed only by the Joker-like smile. Thank goodness for television. Charles R. Kesler

jimgeraghty Clearly, the most unnerving and unstable performance in a presidential debate since David Palmer debated Sen. John Keeler.

charlescwcooke If the AP and CNN polls are accurate—and who knows?—Paul Ryan won the VP debate without being allowed to finish more than a few sentences.

TIME’s Michael Scherer:: “Not sure debate cameras have been light tested for Biden’s teeth. Best to watch with sunglasses.”

Washington Examiner’s Philip Klein: “Biden’s strategy seems to be to laugh at Ryan constantly. Will it work to infantalize Ryan, or backfire like Gore sighing?”

Republican strategist Ron Bonjean: “Biden laughing does not come off with the intended effect. It is actually hurting him. Looks very condescending.”

Movie critic Roger Ebert: “Joe! Stop smiling and laughing!”

Chris Wallace: I've never seen a candidate as disrespectful as Biden...

At the time I thought those "warnings" were calculated to create an atmosphere of  inevitability about the result;  discourage the Republican base.  In retrospect,  I think it was the emergence of the thug mentality that has so manifested itself with this regime.  At any rate, that table has clearly turned.  Guess how the riot thing works today?

That's right.  And it will be spontaneous and brutal.

Huff'nPuff today has a post debate page that features the lamest attempts to spin Obama's debate debacle; a very lame SNL parody of the debate, and best of all, a chart showing that— as we speak— Obama is cruising toward an an electoral vote blow-out victory over Romney. Yes, we will have to euthanize all of them one day.  They're almost human, and I don't look forward to it.  Sigh.
