@3:20 "...you're discouraging behavior, anything you tax is what you're discouraging, do you want to discourage consumption?"

Flip that around and apply it to the 'income tax'!

The cognitive dissonance it mind boggling at times.

Savings, investment, low tax rates, freedom, are all pillars of a thriving economy. Another very important pillar is a currency that retains its purchasing power.

You lot are screwed.

Jindal is making headlines to help build "street cred" for his future plans. The best quote was "it looks good on paper," Jindal does not have a written detailed plan folks. Texas has no income tax but does have higher property taxes and fees. Mr. Jindal doesn't have news conferences anymore where reporters are allowed to ask questions, if he did we would all see that the emperor has no clothes. Be wary, Karl Rove said Jindal would be a good presidential candidate. We've had enough RINO's.

Jindal's approach will be regressive and thus opposed by (democrat) politicians at the state and federal levels?

Suggest they look at the taxes on gasoline, cigarettes, liquor, and junk food to see how much politicians hate regressive taxes.

When did Jindal become a RINO? Jeez, you purists chap my ass. Go raise the money, win a campaign, and implement your ideas. Either that, or take up arms and start a revolution. This BS of damning an ally when they offend your sensibilities is abject stupidity.

If Jindal is a RINO I'm Barbra Streisand

Well Barbra, I hate to tell ya the man is an establishment republican. Those of us in Louisiana know this and see it every day. He's much better than what we've had but that's not saying much. He doesn't take questions at his appearances and he doesn't hold press conferences. He speaks in broad terms and never addresses the details. It's all smoke and mirrors. He and his machine are interested in climbing the ladder. He spent months away from the state politicking for Romney and then bashes him after the election. Geez Bobby why didn't you stay home and do your job. Wake up folks he is the south's Chris Christie.

This Princes & the Pea mentality- "He's not MY KIND of conservative" is why we have Obama Reid et al...

Progressive income taxes are one of the greatest reasons personal liberties are being reduced. Beside the punishment of success is the tremendous loss of privacy and personal involvement by government officials who are, theoretically, servants of taxpayers.

If Jindal has presence of mind to move away from income taxes, he's stepping in the right direction. I won't try to trip him up because his views aren't 100% in line with my own.

Jindal's a gem, Stephen Moret is a state treasure. There are so many projects in the works down here right now, it's getting into bubble territory. There is no way they will find enough construction workers to get it all built.
