Mandatory Guns LOL

As with Nelson and Kennesaw, Georgia, which was the first town to pass such an ordinance in 1982, the Nucla law contains certain exemptions, such as those who are physically or mentally handicapped as well as those individuals who are conscientious objectors or oppose to gun ownership for religious reasons.

In other words, mandatory gun ownership is not really enforced. The ordinance is merely a political statement to lawmakers at the state and federal level who are constantly pushing a gun control agenda — as Long pointed out. [full]

Here's the money-shot; the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence has filed a lawsuit against Nelson arguing that the ordinance violates citizens’ Second, Amendment rights.

Nelson or Ball Ground, I forget, recently passed a 'must own' ordinance. Not enforcable.
Of course, a Brady related group has brought suit in Federal court, calling the law "Un-Constitutional", as if they cared at all about the Constitution.
After all, the Left says it is open to interpretation, generally along "it OBVIOUSLY don't mean what it says" lines.
See:
Kelo, we can take your house to increase tax revenue...
ACA, aka Obamacare, we can tell you to buy insurance, or TAX you {though all TAX bills must be passed from the House}
Fast & Furious, where we can run illegal weapons to our southern neighbor.
Philadelphia Voter Harassment, we don't care they had clubs, they's black people...
IRS can ask questions of TEA Party groups, but does not have the same criteria for liberal groups. It doesn't matter that the IRS UNION, which contributed 100:1 to the D's is the group doing the interrogation...
Apparent to the casual observer is the fact that the law means whatever THEY say it means, depending on whose ox is being gored, or whose moolah is being confiscated...

I kinda like the mayor. He's got that dead-eye/red-eye thing going on. There's nothing like catching a buzz and shooting up the place I always say.

There are religions opposed to gun ownership? News to me. Presbyterians are armed to the teeth.

Those religions exist mostly in California, Helly.

Also lots of us Mormons are armed. I believe a newspaper poll computed that in Utah there were 7 guns for every man, woman, and child living in the state. Alas, church leaders won't let you carry in church.
