Precious Moments

Oh My
Our daughter talks to her daughter (4) after she disobeyed:

"Aren't you tired of me taking your toys away? I don't want to take them away. I don't like having to punish you at all.

"What's 'punish'?"

"Punish is when I take something of yours away because you don't behave.  Pretty soon I'll have taken away everything you like."

Without a second of pause - "Well, you can't take my favorite color away."

I'm thinking some tough times are ahead. A mind that sharp can slice to the bone.

The best part of being a grandparent is watching your kids suffer from all the same shit they put you through.

It's sweet, sweet justice.

Looks like Mommy needs to create alternative forms of punishment.

Yeah, right. Good luck with that.

When a 4 year old comes up with a rejoinder like that all you can do is hold your peace and thank God.
