A Pres. Biden would not carry the mantle of sainthood into office. Plus, members of his own party (The Clintons) would want him rendered toothless lest he waltz off with the 2016 nomination. And most compelling, impeaching Obama is what the constitution expects, and is the right thing to do.

Impeaching and removing Obama would move Slow Joe up, leaving a vacancy. Dollars to donuts the Dems would install Hillary! as VP, so she could be better positioned to run. She could claim that she now has all this current experience.
