Don't take this so hard. This is the reality in politics. Cruz would have gained NOTHING in attempting - and failing - to delay the vote. Symbolism is useful only up to a point.
This is *not* like Rubio trying to reward illegals with citizenship. -

Boehner's going to roll in the House, so there is no point in fighting further.
It will be interesting to see what percentage of the House Republicans go along with Boehner. Maybe we get a new Speaker out of this.

Meanwhile despite the rigged WSJ/NBC poll it is becoming evident that Obamacare is disaster, Federal executive branch program shut downs are highlighting how many of them are non-essential. Democrats even in Blue states are starting to quiver like hound dogs passing peach pits as the magnitude of the "train wreck" becomes apparent. In 2014 it will be "dumb party" vs. "incredibly evil and incompetent party." Even with MSM support (which is starting to fade) they won't be able to avoid ownership.
