It's Broke

LAWLESSNESS

In case you haven't seen it, here's a kinda disturbing clip.

New Mexico State cop stops a car for speeding, 70 in a 55, and tells the driver to turn off the engine while he goes back to his cruiser for the routine wants and warrants thing.

She hauls ass, so he goes after her and pulls her over again.  She's not particularly interested in getting a ticket and gives the guy some lip and then gets back in to drive off again.

My guess is she had something to hide, but the fat cop who shoots at the vehicle with kids in it was either uninformed about the situation or just plain stupid.  A car full of kids would have sooner or later stopped somewhere or run out of gas.  Deadly force probably not called for here.

I saw a discussion some time back on cutting down on speeders by equipping cop cars and toll booths with devices to shut down engines on targeted vehicles.  That'd work if it weren't cost prohibitive.  Every car would have to have a computer code built in with an ID linked to license plate so that when the proper authority hits the "kill" switch, it doesn't turn off all the cars in the area.

One of the guys on the panel said it would add very little cost to the initial price of the vehicle, but it would cost millions to install in the police cars and other locations, plus it would require constant updating and be subject to human error in entering or deleting data.

Sounds familiar..., no??

Ooooh, another great idea. I figure it'd take hackers about, hmmm, 20 minutes to beat.

Then they'd be selling modified garage door clickers that we could use to stall out anyone who pissed us off.

Especially cops. And Democrats. And RINOs.

Soon, all traffic would stop.

It's coming anyway. The EPA-types and the insurance companies will mandate exterior computer control of all vehicles to force compliance of speeding, school zones, traffic lights and construction zones. Of course it will be for the 'common good' and saving the children; the real reason will be for the insurance companies to reduce the payouts on claims by preventing behavior BEFORE it happens. Anything with a computer in it can be controlled by 4G or bluetooth-type technologies.

Another incident of Laws are for thee and mere suggestions for a black Democrat, with Dear leader setting the example.
"Ah done drove away because mah prezident Uhbama done gimme a pass to do as ah lahke when The Man is a whitey, cause he be racist."
The driver should have been thrown to the ground and cuffed after the second stop, same for the Trayvon wannabe.
Third cop never should have shot at the car; an ignored traffic stop is not worth killing over. They had dash cam, plate number and corroborating testimony, and after a later arrest, those would be enough to get her busted hard in a court.
As to electroically stopping the car, well, it's pretty hard to outrun Motorola or go far with caltripped tires.

I'm thinking the meth-head that stole the battery from the truck at work is more important than a traffic violation.
Then again, I don't think like bureaucrats, so logic is thrown out the window.

I'm getting sick of these trigger happy asshole cops. I'm already sick of the asshole Negroes. I still haven't found a gun I wouldn't mind throwing away. I mean really, it's getting to the point you don't know who you're going to have to shoot....then walk away.

It's already here if you have one of the newer "smart" cars that connects to the car company to advise you of service or for emergency contacts (GM's Onstar, Ford Sync, Hyundai Bluelink, etc.). The car company can send a signal to slow the car to OJ chase speed or totally disable it.
