I was going to tell you that this was a one-off series (three 44 min episodes) that will almost assuredly appeal to all of you. You may not give it the 5 stars that both me and Mother Superior voted, but even the curmudgeons will like it. I would say that this is good family viewing, except for the fact that Brit television viewers demand very life-like (dead like?) corpse make up, not the dash of catchup that American TV shows. Kids, IMO, ought be spared these images for—well—forever if possible.

Now I discover that there are three series, but only one on Netflix. Something to look forward too, perhaps.

Esteve said...: Yes, it's free. I gave up the satellite (we live in the no cable boonies) about six months ago. We do fine on Netflix and Amazon Prime but Roku just keeps adding great stuff for free.; 4/9/14, 3:10 PM
Anonymous said...: Try "Pie in the Sky" with Richard Griffiths---he died last year, but the show is from 1994. He is a British inspector who wants to be a chef. There is as much cooking as coping. Disc only on netflix, but if you watch the first disc, I bet you're hooked.

Esteve said...: We have an AT&T service that comes over the phone lines. I think it's called T-100 and we are able to cover our little compound with an antenna system and range extenders. We are trying to get a fiber optic out here but the small customer base keeps the cost too high.; 4/10/14, 12:56 PM
