50 years later generic knock-offs come out and that saucy bitch finally gets put in her place. Being fiscally responsible always makes you the bad guy. -Anymouse

Nothing wrong with being fiscally responsible but man-up in the process. No need to be a little pussy because your salt sticks together.

If it was cheaper and better it's a win. If it was cheaper for a reason, now you know.

Wry humor is dangerous humor.

What a wuss. I'd have made her use a rolling pin to crush the cheaper salt where it pours without clogging.

Rolling pin? You live dangerously.

These are people who know the price of everything, and the value of nothing.

Two cents a week?! If that ad was from 1935, that's the equivalent of 35 cents, in today's dollars. I buy a box of salt about once every three years. Of course, back then, prepared/processed foods were unusual. Maybe I do eat that much salt, value-wise, but it's already in most of the crap that I eat.
