On  Nov 4, 1961 I attended my third ever college football game.  Watched Maryland beat Top Ten ranked Penn State 21-17.  It would be the only time the Terps would beat Penn State.  They play today, and before kick-off I will post my prediction.  At this moment I see a Terps win, but my true feeling on such things best manifest 1 minute before the game.  I do not hate Penn State, but I do despise James Franklin, their coach.  He is in my mind the college football equivalent of  ex-UCONN BB coach Jim Calhoun; a liar and a cheat.

Back in 45 minutes.

Okay Maryland 42, Penn State 27
If MD's QB Brown can get the ball close to his  receivers, we win.  I'm saying that Brown can't be as bad as he was against Wisconsin.  Book it.

RUH ROH - The refs gave MD a 15 yard penalty
BEFORE the opening kickoff.

Writing in Righteous Indignation, Breitbart noted that, “the left doesn’t win its battles in debate. It doesn’t have to. In the 21st century, media is everything. The left wins because it controls the narrative. The narrative is controlled by the media. The left is the media and narrative is everything.”

In the inimitable words of LCpl Jones, "They's fuckin' you." Welcome to not so Happy Valley. They're pedarasts, dude.

Nov 4, 1961 - I was there too, Rodger. Gary Collins (All-American, later All-Pro) played a stellar game beating eighth ranked Penn State. The Terps had earler beaten tenth ranked Syracuse 21-20, with Collins dropping Heismann Trophy winner Ernie Davis in his tracks whenever Davis came near Collins' defensive position.
Eight players from that Maryland starting team went on to play pro ball.

Congratulations, the Terps played a hell of a game, and earned it. I"m sorry that you had to listen to Beth Mowen call the game. This is your real welcome to the B1G.

Two more anemic offenses could only be legendary; however, in the spirit of comity, let's applaud both stifling defenses ... USA! UAS! USA!

But, wait, If the Terps win out (including MSU), and MSU beats OSU- we have a tie for first place!

*dream ends*

You guys are making feel young. Hearing "friends" talk about attending a college football game on day I was born is pretty cool.
Quite a coincidence.
