Scared Democrats Get Some Advice (not that the needed it)

Whether the Democrats running in those districts can survive what party strategists acknowledge is a deteriorating national political environment will largely hinge on how well they can appeal to more conservative voters.

“It’s a different kind of electorate,” said Ben Tulchin, a San Francisco-based Democratic pollster. “If you’re running in a competitive district as a Democrat in a nonpresidential year, you want to [lie like a sumbitch].

Politico- Running as a Dem, sounding like a Republican

Red state Democrats who voted for the failed Senate gun control bill in April 2013 have been scrambling lately to focus their campaigns on anything but guns and gun control. With November closing in, they've even asked Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly to stay out of their states to avoid a shift in focus to guns or gun control.

But the reality is that Senators Mark Udall (D-CO), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Kay Hagan (D-NC), and Al Franken (D-MN) all voted for the Manchin-Toomey gun control bill in 2013--a bill that would have ended the private gun sales which free people have enjoyed in this country for nearly 220 years. It would have implemented an expansion of background checks from retail sales to private and forced every would-be gun owner to pass the same background checks Elliot Rodger (Santa Barbara), Ivan Lopez (Ft. Hood 2014), Karl Halverson Pierson (Arapahoe High School), Aaron Alexis (DC Navy Yard), James Holmes (Aurora theater), and Nidal Hasan (Ft. Hood 2009) passed, to name a few.

Rocky The Flying Squirrel

Grand Canyon National Park officials are investigating a YouTube video posted over the weekend that appears to show a man luring a squirrel to the edge of a cliff and kicking it into the canyon below.

The video -- which was quickly taken down and then republished by other users -- shows two French-speaking men wearing boxer shorts and cowboy hats, laughing as they lead the animal to the edge of the canyon. One of the men puts on a shoe and kicks the animal, launching it off the cliff.

An EXTREMELY GRAPHIC  iteration of the video is above.

Officials confirmed with AZCentral that they're investigating the incident. It's not yet clear who the men are, whether they'll face charges, or even if the video is real. The only thing park officials know for certain is where the video was shot.

"The rangers do believe it is at Grand Canyon in the national park," Grand Canyon National Park spokeswoman Kirby-Lynn Shedlowski told the news site. "It is under investigation. We are working with YouTube to see if we can get any additional information."

Samurai AG TFV (Ret) sent this story, with a "I didn't know you'd been to the Grand Canyon" tag.  Click-Click.  Perhaps my previous post about ISIS beheading little girls in Iraq will put this in proper perspective. The hyperbole here is suffocating. I mean, we have tens of thousands of disease ridden illegals streaming across our border,  and Park Rangers are actually investigating this as a crime?  JFC!

Will no one rid us of this troublesome beast?

Severe warning: this article contains extremely graphic and disturbing images. They tell the story, but they are not for children or those who are upset easily by violence.

I don’t know the name of this poor man who has lost his wife and daughter.  But I have seen pictures that first made my physically ill, and then made me wish I had my own personal B-52.  Yes, Mr. President, this is the work of those you keep saying follow a religion of peace.  This is the result of you preferring to get additional fundraising done rather than do the responsible thing and protect those from whom our government had taken all the police and military protections that we Americans take completely for granted.  A cheery “Well, we’re finished here, so you’re all on your own now.  Good luck!” is hardly what a responsible leader would say, yet that was effectively what you did.

A website called was brought to my attention by someone I correspond with in South Africa.  It has two photos of the gentleman I’ve described, and of his daughter.  Take a good look at him, Mr. President.  Take a good look at his daughter, and imagine that it could have been Sasha or Malia.  Then, Mr. President, look in the mirror and try to tell yourself that it’s not your fault for opening the cage that might have controlled these animals.

I read this (via skoonj) at 10:30 AM; put my pen down and went for a long walk. The website has pictures of little girls who were beheaded by ISIS for being Christian.  And yes, Obama, either by design, or through utter incompetence, is directly responsible for all of this.  My lawyer says I must stop now.

                                           Mexican Invaders

What did Presidents Hoover , Truman, and
Eisenhower have in common?

Operation Wetback

This is something that should be of great interest for you to pass around. I didn't know of this until it was pointed out to me.

  • During the great depression, Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that  desperately needed work.
  • Harry Truman deported over two million illegal aliens after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans.
  • In 1954 Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexicans. The program was called Operation Wetback. It was done so WWII and Korean War veterans would have a better chance at jobs. It took two years, but they deported them!
Now, if they could deport the illegal aliens back then, they could surely do it today. If you have doubts about the veracity of this information, and confirm it for yourself.

Why, you might ask, can't they do this today?Actually the answer is quite simple. Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower were men of honor, not self-serving politicians looking for votes!

Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes - 12 to 20 million illegal aliens – are depending on it.

The Un-Midas Touch

Everything that Barack Obama touches seems to turn to dross. Think of it for a minute. He inherited a quiet Iraq (no American combat deaths at all in December 2009). Joe Biden bragged of the calm that it would be the administration’s “greatest achievement.” But by pulling out all U.S. peacekeepers — mostly for a 2012 reelection talking point — Obama ensured an ISIS wasteland. He put his promised eye on Afghanistan at last, and we have lost more soldiers there than during the Bush administration and a Taliban victory seems likely after more than a decade of lost American blood and treasure. The message seems to be that it is better for Obama to have his eye off something than on it.

Remember those threats to Syria? After the U.S. threatened and backed off, the violence only escalated and spilled into Iraq.

That is the real Obama legacy: there are no politics any more, just an endless class war between patriotic progressives and counter-revolutionary clingers.
Libya was no paradise under Gadhafi, but it is now Mogadishu on the Mediterranean. Not even the president’s supporters believe that he told the truth about Benghazi. Reset with Russia green-lighted Putin, as he sized up Barack Obama as a lamb waiting to be eaten. The Bowe Bergdahl-for-five-terrorists swap (likely illegal) is not headline news only because dozens of scandals since have eclipsed it, and the likely deserter is apparently still kept incommunicado, lest he speak in the fashion of his father at the earlier White House press conference. I don’t think Bergdahl is a model for future negotiations with the Taliban.

Israel? We never have been more estranged from the Jewish state. Open mic outbursts against Netanyahu define our true policies. The terrorist state run by Hamas is now a partner for peace – tunnels, missiles, syringes, handcuffs and all. Did outreach to Hamas lessen or spike violence?

Did the “special relationship” with the Islamist Recep Erdogan lead to regional calm, and does it still exist?

The war on terror? Obama has derided most anti-terrorism protocols, even as he kept some Bush-Cheney policies — to the incoherent point that no one has any idea what the U.S. is doing. Jihad a personal odyssey? Muslim Brotherhood largely secular? Major Hasan’s murdering mere workplace violence? Outreach to Islam NASA’s primary mission? Remember overseas contingency operations and man-caused disasters? In the Obama war on terror, waterboarding three architects of 9/11 is our “folks” torturing their “folks”; but judge/jury/executioner drone strikes that blow up 2,000-plus suspected (not confessed) terrorists — and anyone in the general vicinity when the missile hits — are far more moral. Out of sight, out of mind.

When CIA Director John Brennan speaks, we all assume he is not telling the truth, as in the past. Whatever the DC dictate is at the present, Brennan makes the necessary immoral adjustments.

Past cabinet heads? No one knows exactly the circumstances under which Lisa Jackson, Hilda Solis — and even David Petraeus — left their offices.

Iran and the bomb? Look to red lines in Syria for an example of how our Iranian threats will work out. One cannot distinguish parody from Obama’s Iranian policy. We worried more about sanctions hurting Iranians than forcing them to comply with non-proliferation promises.

The world sort of likes the new reduced profile of the U.S. This is especially true of Russia, China, and Iran, as they fill the regional voids. The weaker we become, the more likely Obama is popular overseas, and the more likely the Left applauds his new global likability.

In the Obama view, millions do not like Israel, Britain, or any pro-American Western democracy, and so applaud his new corrections.

At home? Obama has wrecked our healthcare system. Every promise about the Affordable Care Act proved an outright lie. No one can define Obamacare or explain how it is supposed to work. In fact, no one really even tries any more.

The budget? Obama’s legacy is ... (Victor Davis Hanson cont)

A quick glance at today's stuff reveals lots of similar thinking.  And Obama's approval rating is 40%?  4 in 10 people approve of what this lout has accomplished?  Stab me in the freaking liver.

The Gay Nazi Movement

“Anti-LGBT attitudes are terrible for people in all sorts of communities. They linger and oppress, and we need to stamp them out, ruthlessly,” tweeted Josh Barro, a writer for the New York Times. In subsequent tweets he made clear that those who believe in traditional marriage are not worthy of respect or civility and, most alarmingly, that the government has the power to redefine words such as marriage.

In fact, enormous energy is being expended by the left in America to make Christianity and Christians unacceptable. A New York Times writer wants to stamp out those views “ruthlessly.”
In Houston, Texas, ironies upon ironies abound in an anonymous group publishing the names and addresses of citizens opposed to a gay rights measure. This also happened during the Proposition 8 campaign in California. People who gave money to support traditional marriage had their employers and addresses exposed, and then became subject to harassment.

In New Jersey, a church had its tax-exempt status revoked on property on which it refused to allow a gay marriage. In Colorado, New Mexico and Oregon the nation has seen photographers, florists and bakers compelled against their will to provide goods and services to gay marriages. The gay couples could have gone elsewhere, but instead decided to target these small businesses for ruin because of their religious beliefs.

President Obama and many Democrats no longer talk about “freedom of religion.” Instead, they talk about “freedom of worship.” One is no longer allowed to live and practice one’s religion in the public square. They are only permitted to worship from 11 to noon on a Sunday.

At the liberal web publication Slate, a writer whose job is to advocate for LGBT issues treated with seriousness a study that purports to show religious children are more likely to believe in fantasies than secular children because they might believe crazy things such as a story about a crucified man who rose again from the dead. Interestingly, every example given was a story from the Bible, not the Koran or books of other religions.

In fact, enormous energy is being expended by the left in America to make Christianity and Christians unacceptable. A New York Times writer wants to stamp out those views “ruthlessly.” He describes those with orthodox Christian views on marriage as unworthy of civility. Anonymous groups expose the home addresses of mostly Christians and subject them to harassment. This is not happening to orthodox Jews or Muslims, but to Christians.

It raises a serious question Americans must confront — are gay rights and Christianity compatible? The answer appears to be no. As gay rights activists use the tactics of Bull Connor to push for what they declare civil rights, they are targeting churches, religiously affiliated groups and Christian businesses for harassment and lawsuits. Or in this case,  a vendetta by said racketeers. You don't have to be all that smart to see how this will end.  If they are successful, Islam will inevitably fill the crater left by Christianity.  Ahem.
