FOUR 1911s?

                 I GET MAIL

Rodge;  I want to be the first person to shoot four 1911 pistols at once, on camera, and the first person to shoot 20 rounds in under 1.5 seconds!  Can you help
? Thanks in advance. KdT

Well, Yes.  And, No.  Not first anyway.

My first thought was, "what if one round has a delayed ignition and goes off as it's being ejected..? Someone is going to lose a thumb."

I have enough difficulty putting a bullet into the X-ring with just ONE 1911, let alone four.

I do not believe that for one instant Baron, but appreciate your humility.

The double 1911 is cute, and an interesting feat of invention and engineering, but ultimately a solution to a non-existent problem.

Ya wanna put twice as many .45 ACP rounds downrange? Use a Glock 21. We know it's heresy, because we are both 1911 enthusiasts, but face it, the Glock has almost twice the capacity, all the accuracy and far more reliability than the 1911 (when was the last time you heard of anyone having a stovepipe or any other FTF or FTE with a Glock?). All it lacks is weight (a questionable attribute), history and cachet. We were gonna say it lacked elegance, but Glocks have gotten progressively less ugly with each generation, and the Gen 4's have an elegance of design that reminds us of the Luger P08 (although our court guns and barbecue guns will still be stainless XSEs). Sure, we hate to carry the same thing every sideways-holding gold-toothed gangsta does ("Glock - simple guns for simple people"), but you can't argue with practicality.

18 rounds down range in 1.5 seconds? Double fisting it is!
