Just read this quote from Anne Coulter from 2005 on Roberts: "Stealth nominees have never turned out to be a pleasant surprise for conservatives. Never. Not ever."

So now we have Chief Justice Gruber.

The Supreme Court of the U.S. would be not out of place in a banana republic.

But come to think of it neither would the other two branches.

John Roberts said that "while the law’s wording was problematic, Congress’ intent was clear."
Then let Congress fix the wording. It's their job. Their Constitutional job.

Roberts just joined Taney as the worst Justice ever. I wrote his office and suggested he resign and run for Congress, given his propensity to make law.

If we had a few more Senate Republicans, I would hope Congress would impeach him, given the tortured absurdity of his two opinions on Uhbamacare in the face of plain words of the law and the Gruber revelations.

However, even with a Republican super majority, Boehner and McConnell wouldn't pursue impeachment, because then, the Uhbamacare turd would be back on their desks, the last thing they want in spite of their campaign lies.

It's only a matter of time before the country's name is changed to The People's Republic of America. Or maybe they'll just call it Venezuela 2 or Zimbabwe 2.

Well, this will bode well for Iran. Our governments are now mirrors of each other. Each is ultimately ruled by mullah's appointed for life by the anointed one.-Anymouse

My compliments to Tailgunner and Anymouse @ 7:09 am.
This week has been a real morale & morals crusher. It's getting to where I cannot in good conscience vote "for" anyone without feeling guilty of contributing to our decline. ugh

I wonder if a future conservative president can pack the Supreme Court, make the total number of justices 11, and get several conservative justices in. FDR did it, by the way, going from 7 to 9 members.

Chief Justice Earl Roberts.

(as in Earl Warren)

Tailgunner, Congress won't impeach Roberts or anyone else. If they actually had the cojones to impeach, they would have handed Mullah Obama his walking papers years ago.

^Scottiebill - You're so right. In addition, it has become an unwritten rule that Justices will not be impeached over bad decisions, but only for crimes such as bribery, fraud, etc.

Speaking of crimes, what has Roberts done that he wants/needs to hide?
The Regime must have some dirt on him. His Uhbamacare actions fly in the face of his long time behavior and philiosophy.

I listened today as Scalia spoke of how the 14th amendment of the constitution was the basis of this historic decision. I guess I can't be too disappointed to know that an unconstitutional amendment which was forced on nearly one half of the states at the point of bayonete would eventually preside over the shredding of the old cloth of American society. I guess ya live by the sword, ya die by the sword. The stage is now set for anything to be overturned via public opinion through the extreme court. -Anymouse
