Damn. Get well soon. Probably hook you up with some pred and send you home provided you meant poison ivy.

Poison ivy -> cellulitis.
Lots of antibiotic, long saline soaks, prednisone works a miracle.
Don't ask me how I know that. You have my sympathy, Rodg, and best wishes to get well soon. We miss you.

Ouch!

I'm so glad I live in a place that doesn't have that bit of nastiness.

Cripes, hope you do well, feel better, and become healthy soon. My Dad used to get terrible poison oak that infected his blood stream. Never easy for him, God rest his soul. NO. The oak didn't kill 'im.
Get well soon.

Get Well Soon, Rodg! We can't make it without you. You are a light unto our path.

Get well soon, Rodger. I've been very fortunate I'm the designated poison ivy and oak weeder.

I pull it out with bare hands, it has never bothered me. {yet}

It is a pure wonder of God's creation that goats can *eat* poison ivy with no deleterious effects. Just don't let one lick your arm when he's been eating the stuff!!! (happened to my dad - not me)

Likely story.
Well, whatever the cause of your rash [airquotes],
hope you recover soon.
(What? Well, no, I'm not generally empathetic. I just hate whining.)

Feeling your pain (itch). Bought my dream lot in Citrus County, overrun with the stuff. Spent a week in la la land due to prednizone and itch meds. Still seem to have it, only you can't see it any more. Seems deeply embedded in my skin now. Still burning piles of old dry vines. Thats good country livin. Feel better Rog -Anymouse

Antibiotics don't touch poison ivy. Only if you have secondary infection from scratching. So, don't.

Benedryl may help, with the itching. Time will cure it. Two-three weeks, maybe. I got it (Bad. Whole patches of my skin raised up in blisters, merging to make one big blister, inches in diameter.) every summer, starting in the fourth grade. I was in the woods (SW Arkansas) or on the creeks and ponds fishing every day, when I wasn't playing baseball.

Tried everything. Steroids help, some, but usually by the time you decide to go to the doc, they are wasted effort. Get some info on the various types, keep your eyes peeled for them, and avoid them.

Thank God there wasn't any in Nam...

Commissioner Gordon: "Batman you must save the Real King of France from Poison Ivy. If you don't there's no telling how boring the internet will become."

My mother always told me that's what would happen if you masturbated too much.

A new study shows that 50% of Americans masturbate "to excess". Do you know what the other 50% do instead?

I figured you wouldn't know!
