Unplugged

I decided last week to walk to Omaha and back.  So, that's out of the way.

Welcome Back, Rog!
I feared that Team Obama's Internet Czars/NAZIS and other assorted Current administration A Holes/Weasels had decided on a whim to Repeal the First Amendment and punish Offenders that don't subscribe to His BS.

Omaha, been there a couple of times to change planes. "2 Flags over Not So Much". But far safer than NYFC, Chicago or St. Louis by far.

Uh, not really. Or, like a lot of places, it depends on the part of town and the people you hang out with.

Omaha's violent crime rate is one of the highest in the USA. But most of the crime occurs in North Omaha, where (coincidentally) the unemployment rate is over 25% and the residents are over 71% Black. Remember, North Omaha is the birthplace of Malcolm Little, aka Malcolm X or Malik el-Shabazz.

'Glad you're back, Raja, for any number of reasons!

Stu, one thing I learned years ago was that if you are looking for trouble, you will find it. Anywhere. After 28 years in the Military, many overseas tours in the Middle East and a few in the US, Omaha presents far less risk than some US Cities like Chicago, Detroit, Philly, Newark, St Louis and a brief assignment in DC and Atlanta.
By comparison, Omaha proper is like a Church Picnic. There is a difference between changing planes enroute and sight seeing.
