"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
"Trump should re-nominate Jim Comey as FBI Director just to watch the Democrats change positions on him again."
I guess what the other ~600 million people there think doesn't count, because the eco-nazis know best, just like their NSDAP predecessors.Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick
Argument ended, and not just because of Godwin's law.
Yeah, one side references the Nazi's, and the other side responds with McCarthy. However, only one side can see the truth in both. And I believe it's explained excellently in one of Coulters books.
Godwin is a tool. The plain fact of the matter is that when it comes to making a point that "...and THIS is how things turn really bad if taken to the extreme", there is no better analogy than the Nazis. That's using the Nazis as a proper debating device -- but just calling someone a Nazi (which is the proper invocation of Godwin's Law) is the refuge of fools and knaves, because it's intended to end the debate.Your opinion may differ, but you're wrong.
which is pretty much what I said, only in fewer words.Your explanation states it more clearly though.
