PSA- WIN 10

On balance I'm thinking that W-10 can't be worse than 8.1 (which I'm just getting used to); but I'm glad to learn that I have a full year to procrastinate even though I'll be barraged with daily URGENTs  ! from HP and MS every time I restart. Your mileage may differ.

If you can live with being spied on Windows 10 may be for you.

That lower photo reminded me of this. Apple Computer announced today that it has developed a computer chip that can store and play high fidelity music in women's breast implants. The iTit will cost $499 or $599 depending on speaker size. This is considered to be a major breakthrough because women have always complained that men stare at their breasts but do not listen to them.

You might want to wait a while and see if M$ releases any patches before you take them up on their free offer (unless you like being a guinea pig).

The prodigal didn't take my advice and decided to upgrade his laptop immediately. He says that everything worked fine for a while - he liked it more that 8 - then after about 15 minutes it simply decided not to recognize that the internet even existed. So he went back to 8 - figured that if he could get on line he'd be able to find something that explained how to fix the problem. Only thing is that the upgrade to 10 and the reversion to 8 had somehow destroyed the security certificates. End result was that every website he tried to go to told him that there was a problem with the security certificate and he couldn't get past that.

End result was the machine went in to the local computer shop and they ended up having to send it back out in order to get it repaired.

So bewarned.

NEVER.

So, no way to find a more massively annoying spokesman for Bill Gates?

I've been skipping over all this because none of it seems relevant to me. I've never had any non-Mac home computer. I currently use an iMac, built in 2008 and now running OS X 10.8.5. It does everything I need it to do.

MS's feeble attempt to placate the enterprise zone after Win8 debacle.
Good news is that Win7-pro will be supported until 2020.

Google sells the data that they collect on you while the Microsoft agreement promises they will never sell your data. They just use your data for Cortana as your personal assistant. And depending on how you set it up that can be adjusted various ways. Like you can use one email and not another or use no email accounts at all. Google, Android, Apple's Siri all use your data as personal assistants but google/android sells it to anyone who will buy it.

Earrings and helium-pitched voice. Is low testosterone a requirement to blather about Windows?

That's great news, as I'm completely happy with Win7 Pro and don't want to change.

I switched this HP Laptop and our E-Machines desktop from Win7 to Win 10 and only had minor issues. It is faster, more robust and better organized.

Don't be afraid - it did not cause the world to come to an end and in fact, it was the easiest upgrade I ever did.

I want to punch that guy.

Two thing I noticed after upgrading to Win10 from Win7 Pro--one, I can't log in to any of my member sites using the Edge browser, and two, I shut down the machine when leaving for work this morning. When I got home this afternoon, the computer was still trying to shut down. It sat there for over eight hours, stuck on shut down in progress. :S

Good Heavens! That voice made me want to shove my old smelly sneaker down his throat just to make it stop. His voice might sound better when his balls drop.

Uncle Rodger, if I had to choose between Windows versions, it's 7 > 10 > 8. Time to retire XP. If you are already on 8, save your sanity and get the heck off it.

Or... *cough cough* get a Mac.... Wait! No! Not the axe!

Sheesh! Earrings, high-pitched voice and (presumably) undescended testes; that sounds like a description of a maricon, but the depressing irony is that "modern" women spread 'em like creamcheese for "men" like this.

Not giving up Windows 7 until it becomes as cludgy, slow and unable to load content as Microsoft Internet Explorer has.
So there.
