Mr. Ed "The Talking Horse's Ass" Schultz said: “[Democrats] have to speak up and just tell the American people we can’t get anything done on gun violence because Republicans are in the way.”
My response: The Republicans blocked Obama’s attempts to abridge the 2nd Amendment? Who knew? I doubt they were particularly responsible. I think there is agreement between the two wings of the Uniparty that the 2nd Amendment is lethal to mess with.
But if the Republicans actually were responsible, then it would be an exception to the general rule that Republicans are roughly as useful as tits on a boar hog.

after age 65 over 50% lose there ability for critical thinking. i.e. tell truth from falsehood. this why scammers solicit the elderly and why so many fall for it. In some cases it happens much much earlier.

Everyone seems to have forgotten that several doctors serving with Nidal Hasan thought he was a radical muzzie, but didn't say anything, lest they be accused of political incorrectness, which allowed him to kil 13 and wound 30 at Ft. Hood, Texas.

What kind of barbecue gun will you be sporting at that next barbecue, Rodge?
I don't have anything quite fancy enough to be called a barbecue gun, but I've got a real nice court gun.

Sadly, this is the first time I've heard someone equate clock boy with the "See Something, Say Something" campaign. It's pretty pathetic. You can put anything over on the American people, you just have to move real slow. -Anymouse

Thank you for the recommendation for Patriot Post. I'm not going to subscribe (my inbox is way too full), but have put it on my Regular Blogs to Read bookmark.

Only problem with the clock-boy case is that they (being the school and police) never thought or even seriously suspected it was a bomb.
If they did they would have evacuated the school. By not doing so they knowingly and intentionally put every student in the building at risk.
The police never thought it was a bomb - otherwise they would have ordered the school administrators to evacuate the building and dispatched the bomb squad. Otherwise they put every student at risk.
If they thought it was a bomb they wouldn't have put him and the device in the same room when they were waiting for the police.
If they thought it was a bomb the police wouldn't have transported the student in the same car as the device.
The police claim that he wasn't forthcoming when they questioned him. Seems he kept insisting it was a clock - I know that this is Texas and Texans don't typically understand big words like C-L-O-C-K but it sounds like the only thing that would have made the cops happy was for him to say it was a bomb.
But then there is the matter of interogating the kid without his parents being present. That's a clear violation of Texas law.
The best that the school district and police can hope to get off with is an out of court settlement (significantly less than $15 mill but still seven digits) because, if they try to defend themselves by claiming they really did believe it was a bomb they will probably be sued by all the rest of the parents.

If clock boy was white and brought a water pistol to school, everyone would know it wasn't a real gun, but they would have still called the police.

Meanwhile, the chief of police admits they knew it wasn't a bomb when they arrested him. They are going down
