Rhodesia indeed (once "The Breadbasket of Africa", and now a basket-case)! At least Robert Mugabe is still among the living (and no doubt basking in the "fundamental transformation" of his country).

After all, so very few of Obama's other heroes and role models are still above ground. Lenin, Stalin and Trotsky are all long gone, as are Dr. Goebbels, Mussolini, Mao and Pol Pot. Saul Alinsky and Frank Marshall Davis have shuffled off this mortal coil, as have Nelson Mandela and Hugo Chavez.

And I’m pretty sure the Mau-Maus who terrorized the hated British in his beloved Kenya have also run down the curtain and joined the Choir Invisibile.

And thanks for reminding us that Huey P. Newton and Eldridge Cleaver are ex-Black Panthers.

Well, at least Bobby Seale, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Fidel Castro and the aforementioned Robert Mugabe are still around. Not to mention the rappers that Obama so much admires, when he has them visit the White House and put their feet up on the desk in the Oval Office.
