I'm laminating copies of this cartoon.
In the past 5 years, our church has had 2 regular + 4 interim ministers. After listening to some very strange sermons, I was compelled to alert 4 of them to the mental corrosion of watching too much TV. They laughed heartily, which is the Presbyterian way of signaling intellectual capitulation. -

I feel that Rush, yesterday, was saying (about the purpose of the 2nd Amendment) essentially what I said in my piece for American Thinker (which Rodger was kind enough to publish after AT was too timid to do so).
Rush's remarks are the proof that Rush Limbaugh, at least, is not too timid to remind folks that the 2nd Amendment very clearly provides for armed resistance to the government.
We cannot be too timid or afraid to point this out to the lo-fos for fear of what the Left's masters of propaganda will do with it.
From Rush's remarks yesterday:
When you talk to gun owners, when they are asked, "What's so important to you? What's the big deal?" they say, "What is the Second Amendment? You know why the Second Amendment's there, don't you?" And they'll say to the gun owner, "No, no. Why is it there?" "Because the founders understood tyranny, and that if government's gonna take our rights away, they gotta get past our guns first." The Second Amendment, as far as many gun owners are concerned, is designed to make sure that government cannot put them in tyranny. It's about rising up against the government. It's about the guns being available to stop government from taking away people's rights. It has nothing to do with what the Drive-Bys are trying to make it. -

Exactly, Stu...
It most definitely is NOT so we can put food on the table by 'HUNTIN', as in John F'n Kerry's query, 'Is this where I can get me a huntin license? Oh yeah, he's the one that once served in Vietnam. -

Yup. And Kerry (as I pointed out in my previous piece for AT -- which was published there as well as here -- and for which the always classy "Eskyman" told me to "FOAD"!) is also the only person (excepting Donald Trump's ill-considered and lamentable remark) to ever want a Purple Heart!
BTW, I file that "Is this where I can get me a huntin' license?" line from Kerry along with Bubba Clinton's "Some of my most pleasant memories are of early mornings in a duck blind with my rifle!" [Emphasis mine. ST] -

Kerry, even then being a politician, has a different meaning of and use for the word "service" than the rest of us do.

Seriously? You think that Kevin Williamson is wrong when he writes: "Thank goodness Trump is a compulsive liar. Otherwise he'd just be bonkers."
If you cannot face up to The Donald's faults and evaluate them reasonably, how can you vote for him?
I have done my evaluation and have concluded that Gary Johnson gets my vote. Sanity and truth are such endearing qualities for a POTUS to have. -

I'm voting Johnson, too.
After Hillary's first term, maybe people will be ready to go back to the Constitution. -

It's admirable to be an idealist, but being one doesn't indemnify one from doing something patently moronic. A vote is a terrible thing to waste.
