I'm guessing this is a sports story and FB ≠ FaceBook.

Not to hijack the thread but...

Yesterday I went to see Heart, Joan Jett and Cheap Trick. Cheap Trick went first. After they finished and before Joan Jett, some trans dude came up on stage to "talk" about love and not hate meaning the bathroom bill here in NC. After a small talk, the crowd cheered and the dude left the stage and Joan Jett came out and rocked. She was awesome. After Joan Jett, the trans came back out to urge people to vote. He said "I'm not going to tell you who to vote for for governor" and then lowered his voice and said "Cooper" who is running for the democrats. The crowd cheered loudly. He then said "And I'm not going to tell you who to vote for president" and then lowered his voice and said "hillary clinton". The crowd booed him off the stage. As soon as he said clinton's name, the boos were immediate and louder than he was with the microphone. The same crowd that cheered at the mention of the democrat cooper, jeered like hell at the mention of hillary... Thought it was noteworthy...

Thnks for the heads up Chris. I was going to see about getting tickets to the same show here but will probably pass if I am going to get talked to. Having someone I hate tell me to love on folks just makes me angry.

And as a Alabama fan Louisville scares the helloutta me.

Tom, I agree with you on that; when I hire someone to sing, I expect them to sing, not talk. If they want to talk politics, let 'em do it on their own time. I can hear plenty political talk from experts for free; why should I pay to listen to an amateur?

Tom, Rickn8or,

Go see them. I don't think it will happen at your show. It only happened here because of the bathroom bill that has made national headlines. None of the acts made any political statements. Seriously, go see them. Joan Jett and Heart were incredible. They still have it. Sounded as good as in the 80's. And Cheap Trick is well, Cheap Trick. I like them and they were great too.
