IQ Millenial Question

I'm a Millenial Short and Stout

IQ Millenial Question
Outrageously insightful
(and inciting)

MoSup found this and now wants to marry the guy!  Sheesh.  Anyway, he does nail it with observations like "we live in a  Face Book-Instagram world." Tests show that using cellphones and social media release the substance dopamine; the exact same chemical one gets from tobacco, gambling, alcohol.  IOW, highly addictive.   Get a text; feel good.  Feeling down?  Send out 10 texts and  feel better.  Kids are constantly going back and counting the likes. If  there are none, or an insufficient number of them, they get depressed; "Am I not popular anymore?" There is real trauma for kids to be "unfriended."

All of this of course  limits the ability to stray outside of the box.  Say the wrong thing and your plug is pulled.  Some kids find themselves ostracized at school; some are actually beat up.

Sheesh, Raja! I love ya, Man, but you gotta get yourself a dictionary, or something! And even that wouldn't help "Tess show that using cellphones…" Are you using voice-to-text? If so, it needs an overhaul.

??? Who the hell is Tess?

If it's voice-to-text, what we have here is FAILURE TO ENUNCIATE!

It must be Thomas Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles!

Hmmm…so, any time that something has been/is egregiously ungrammatical or misspelled (or looks as if it were typed by a visually-challenged dyslexic wearing mittens), it's just a prank, eh? OK, if that's your story...

Yah, he's good and he's glib and it's hard to argue with many of his points, but along about 11 minutes when he started talking about how employers ("corporations" he said) need to find ways to engage and provide fulfillment to these little darlings, he started to piss me off. Let's see how long HIS companies last when he focuses on making his employees feel good instead of producing a product or service customers want to buy. -- General Petty Officer Fifth Class Skyhawker Doug
