If you think that's bad, I recall having to feed the dog and make dinner once when I was a kid. I made hamburgers, nice big ones. The dog always ate Gainsburgers. Remember them? Being an easily distracted kid with a short attention span and very limited multitasking skills, the obvious happened. The dog was very happy with his meal. The parents not so much, especially since they didn't realize it until halfway through dinner, when dad noticed the little cheesey bits inside his "burger". Oops.

OTOH, I didn't have to make dinner again for several years.

Depending who made that sandwich there could very well be crap on that plastic wrap.

Get one of these, then instead of buying the individually wrapped cheese slices buy the big block-o-pre-sliced-cheese(the block fits perfectly) and drop it into the container. when you need a slice, just pull up the handle.

Arthur - and what, each slice sticks to the handle for easy removal? Explain please.

I try not to buy "syntho-cheese", preferring the sliced stuff sold in the deli, but the slightest bit of bending or moisture or whatever causes the slices to stick together after less than a day. Too much work to cut up dozens of squares of wax paper or parchment paper and repack the slices, but that's the only fix I know of that works.
