Now that I've looked through Comey's comments, I can see why President Trump thought he was incompetent. The Democrats think tomorrow they will hit paydirt. I think they will instead bight the dirt. In parts of this statement Comey seems confused. For some reason he thinks he has to spend untold months investigating that stupid dossier, that was handed to him by McCain. We have known for months that it was a bowl of bullshit, and yet he still dragged it on and on. Tomorrow afternoon I'll be able to listen to Mark Levin, who will have an appropriate level of anger and disbelief.

Here's the thing ... in a lawless society it is possible for liars to prevail over truth. I am therefore uneasy, not that Comey has anything, but because the old guard see this as a do or die moment.

Raja, the Democrats were frustrated today that no one would answer their questions the way the wanted them to. They aren't getting their usual quota of groveling from witnesses. There is a reason. At Democrat insistence, a special investigator was brought in. That changed the investigation to a "criminal" matter, rather than an intelligence matter. The witnesses, heads of the NSA and other intel agencies, are not permitted to respond to questions that can be the purview of the special investigator. Members of the committees involved, or their heads, were told that this fact will make their hearings completely useless. Oh, and by the way, there is no actual crime!

So what will happen tomorrow? If Comey decides to change his position and say things that would make real news favorable for Democrats? Remember, he has said in previous committee appearances, that Trump was investigated and nothing was found indicating his guilt. If he changes his testimony, the next words he will hear will be “You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you? With these rights in mind, do you wish to speak to me?”

All I can say is that the best place to be tomorrow is listening to Mark Levin.

I too am uneasy because Trump lies repeatedly, so if I have to pick whose truth to believe, I am going with Comey. Trump's entire adult life has been spent manipulating and riding the fence between legal and illegal. I'm sorry, I don't trust the man - never have.

Comey describes a president who doesn't care about getting to the bottom of the controversy swirling. He simply wants to sweep the whole matter under the carpet - for the sake of Donald Trump's image. Strangely enough, Trump does not find his own words, actions and tweets to have anything to do with the negatives. So now can we put aside the false populist front and recognize that Trump is, and always has been, an elitist and he is well-schooled in playing politics for his own benefit.
