A whole house water filter is a great idea.

Oh, I grilled up some ribs last night using your rub recipe. Good thing I had it written down, as the terpsboy page loads but won't display. I made a minor change; a 90 minute marinade of pureed fresh pineapple and ginger before the rub. It doesn't add much to the flavor, but it makes a great tenderizer. Ribs came out perfect, crusty on the outside, red from the smoke, and moist and super tender inside.

Corrosion repair/prevention takes up almost 1/3 of the annual construction/maintenance budget for any project.

Drew. Long story, but my Terpsboy domain was registered with another proivider. They didn't warn me about renewal, and I lost it all.

Fascinating bunch of pictures!

When I got to the end of them, I found one comment (not left by any of us here.) The commenter complained about zinc pennies, and how in his/her/zir view they were "deflated"- i.e. not worth a penny; naturally, he/she/zi felt compelled to compare worthless pennies to our President. SMH.

Pity me: I'm in CA, surrounded by these fools. The temperature keeps rising, and I fear spontaneous combustion will occur!

Also- sorry to hear about Terpsboy, I still have that bookmarked. Sigh. The ravages of time!

I carry a silver dollar that my dad carried for years; it's worn down almost smooth, like the one pictured.

Hey Drew, brine em in Goya for a nice change. Find it where ever Puerto Ricans are sold. Smoke with Apple chips.

I don't mean to be picky, but I can't let this pass. "...where ever Puerto Rican's are sold." Does this have something to do with their current financial troubles?

BTW: here in the Southwest, we have a shortage of P.R.'s but many grocers carry a large line of Goya products; pretty much anything you might need.

Down here on the big sandbar, we gocha Ricans. The way they have flooded in to Tampa I'm surprised there's anyone left there to be bankrupt. Diversity is wonderful. No really. -Anymouse

When I first went to San Francisco, in the '70s, it reminded me quite a bit of NYC, except there weren't any PRs. I think I even remarked that NYC got all the PRs and San Fran got all the queers, and I was informed that it happened that way because San Fran had had first choice.
